| Society and us. |
An organized philosopher is one who meditates over the surroundings, for it exhibits how you are an active force in your area to brace for the common issues, which a major faction of any society faces. Well, yesterday, suddenly my eyes caught a depressing fallacy that exists in our usual parts of society, and that is: manipulation of the Quranic verse in the regard to their self-interest. And mostly, self-interest demands compromise over others’ interests, while Islam is the religion of peace and unity. Let us get to the point that we observe, at least see, in our surroundings, there is the common verse subjected in front of houses- "He gives respect to whom He wants, and humiliation to whom He wants ". Verily, but people manipulate it by pondering out of the context. What is the purpose of this verse implanting in front of your home? Worse is, the corrupt people, who make their houses by illegitimate means, use this fallacy but why? Just to pacify their mind illusion or to hide their dark deeds. Well, what is the impact of this fallacy on others people?
For instance, if a poor is passing in front of a big house where this fallacy is obeyed then, ultimately, he or she will think over the circumstances and why we not, or they become sadder about their lives. Do you think Islam allows the disheartening of others? Is Islam allow you to exhibit your resource or blessing just to make yourself unique and more pious? Is really having a big house a great blessing of Allah? If yes, what about the non-Muslim?
Well, no doubt, to have a big house on account of legitimate ways of Islam is a blessing but, no way, to show off this blessing, with the intention to show off yourself as a more blessed one, is totally wrong in my opinion. Now, you might be thinking that, is it allowed to build a house? Because it also depicts the power of wealth over the poor. The answer is yes because this division of the poor and rich is also forged by the Divine Being, so it is a fact. However, to manipulate the verse and then show depravity in the heart of the poor by verses is wrong. For instance, The holy Prophet (PBUH) said that the poor will go to paradise more easily than the rich, said by Zakir Naik. Then, to show that the rich have more blessings of the divine Being and more prerogative of veneration is totally wrong. What a wisecrack! Are we blind or thick head to make a difference between respect and blessing of a house? Is in Islam a big house an emblem of respect?
What a moral hypocrisy of our people, at one hand we all witness to historical devastation of Jews, who used to manipulate the verses of the Holy Quran for their self-interest, and on the other, we do the same, not only in this aforementioned debate but also in others. For instance, my heart weeps when people argue by manipulating the verse- "Women of purity are for men of purity, and men of purity are for women of purity”. Shame on such people who use this verse to humiliate others or this spouse by claiming that you are a sinner. Well, accepting our own mistakes is a rare phenomenon in our society. In other words, we feel fear to be insulted or chastised in this mortal world but what will be in front of the Sublime? By the way, this is one of the reasons why I say that self-accountability is the best form of accountability.
Society says this and that, I came to know from one of my girl students. It is fine, but to be a rebel is always wrong, yes or not? For instance, why did the Divine Being says that "He is”? In other words, Has the Divine Being any gender? If the answer is no, why did he choose the male gender, not the female? Does this selection of gender exhibit male superiority over female gender? These are the questions you need to think over these. Well, in my opinion, the Divine Being showed respect to Arab society and its culture. By the way, this is one of the reasons why the Divine Being bestowed prophethood to the Holy Prophet at the age of 40. Well, my point here is that following licentious and anti-Islamic thoughts are not allowed. For instance, in today's society, strait forwarded people are not respected and accepted because of their personalities can be dodged easily but my question is: is this thought followed in the Sublime system? Of course, the answer is not. Similarly, the poor are deemed as respectable, does this thinking follow near to the Divine Being? Well, these are enough to compel your thinking about these thoughts and questions.
In the nutshell, before adopting any ultimate decision, take some time for your further amelioration. At the start of my journey, I was not convinced but now I am with the statement: the more I know the more I become silent. Well, if you have read my previous articles on Islam then you will be remembered that I asserted that Islam cares about the self-respect of an individual, no doubt. Similarly, you also agree that poverty reduces the title of self-respect. That is fine, but my question to you is, If Islam promotes self-respect, such as by punishing beggars or adopting the work of interest, then why does the Divine Being make poor? In other words, Is it written in their predestined not to buy even food? The answer is not at all, this is the reason for which the second Caliph of Islam, Hazrat Umar(R.A) claimed that if any hungry dog will die in my regime, I will be accountable in front of Allah. In simple words, the Divine Being, the most merciful, provides them, at least, food to the poor, but these are other people, maybe in the form of politicians, who snatched everything in the form of inflation and unemployment. Worse is, by manipulating the teachings of Islam, the poor are taught that they are made so by the Divine Being. I know your question will be: how can it be possible to snatch anything which is already written by the Divine Being in your fate? Simply, you can find the answer by studying the Islamic government history where we are synonymous with the obligation of a state to provide economical support to deserving people. Well, I am partially leaving these thoughts to make you all think about these on your own then share your understanding in the comment box. May Allah pardon us!
