Expectations Leads to Dejection

The expectation is the chief cause of dejection if it deviates from its original path; there may be multiple reasons behind its path’s detraction. Before commencing further discussion, it is pertinent to notice what actually the expectation is. The expectation is, in my opinion, to forge your belief about anything from others because of the constructed image regarding them. No doubt, the expectation is designed by the mind; however, mostly anchors its root in the depth of the heart. If you ask for my speculation vis-à-vis this binary division of expectation, I must have to say that it ought to purely derive from reason, rather than feeling. For, reason demands doubt, but the feeling is the name of passion, and passion is itself obsession, and obsession, mostly, is the way of being dependent upon uni-direction. Keep in mind, I am stating about in a fully generic way, whether in the mundane world or divine. Then, the question is; why is it said that pessimism is a sin? Why is it said that life runs always on the track of hope?

Life is till our heart pumps, and when the heart is alive desires, automatically, jump into its chamber. Desires are always alive but these are for time being in their formulation, and extinction. By the way, what will happen if desires, of any sort, start to eradicate from the abode of our hearts? Of course, a purposeless version of life will come out. So, can we say this is a natural phenomenon? The answer is yes. Why do people suicide? There may be multiple answers but, in my opinion, the chief reason is pessimism, which does have any worldly door to open. The worse image of desire is that it gets more and more momentum if you have the power to fulfill it but yet unable to get it, maybe others do not have an interest in fulfilling your desire. Candidly speaking, not always, but mostly poverty has the power to suppress desires. See the paradox of poverty, it is the biggest evil but at the same time is the best trainer and teacher. I strongly agree with Karl Marx, the people who have seen poverty in the book and winter in the window, how can they know about these things, for the issue is not an issue until self-experienced.

Did you notice why is it not allowed to return any beggar if that person comes to your threshold? Why do such circumstances, where absolute pessimism dictates, come into life? If pessimism is illogical in Islam then why does such circumstance come in life, to whom we link with the exams of life? And, how is it possible, always, to have optimism? Is pessimism self-induced or God-given? Do we have expectations in life? Is there any sub-division in expectation?

The expectation is hope, hope is feeling, and feeling is unstable, so the expectation is something fragile. However, every expectation is not fragile, for instance, the expectation of a relationship with family members and with the Divine Being. In other words, I am trying that life without hope is not possible, but to give the ultimate decision to any hope is actually the source of dejection. Here is the point, why doubt is the harbinger of Intellect, according to Psychology. When expectation does not touch the doubt, mostly, it provokes dejection, and in such dejection people, I have seen, relinquish throughout their life. That’s why, it is said that hell is the mind, and you hurt yourself, not others.

 When Allah says in the Holy Quran, “We will test you”, and the test is the name of constraint, so imposing your ultimate thinking to a single expectation may hurt you outright. Then why is it said that we should expect but with Allah? There are multiple types of expectations in my opinion, for instance, the expectation of self-respect _for a job, adverse circumstances, and the expectation of common needs_ money exchange, relationship, confidant, and work-sharing. In this way, the expectation of self-respect should be pure to Allah, but without the ultimate thinking. What happened in the world if any sort of expectation to Allah will have the ultimate surety? The answer is a distortion comes in the test and trial system, and in believing in Allah, thereby, expectation with guarantee does not work every time and with every person. Listen to me carefully, if you believe or think that life has sufferings, whether inherent or exterior, then life is the name of uncertainty, and you know unpredictability is also a source of sorrow. So, in my opinion, the person who thinks that why not other, why only me is suffering in any sort of trouble, is the most think-head person. Did you ponder on this sentence, have a heart like a lion? What it connotes?  In nutshell, expectations should be in life but without shaping the ultimate decision. And doubt is the beauty of intellect, although not everywhere.
