Explore Love vs Lust. What's the difference?

Living in the corporeal world, I would share my subjectivity over this subject matter, which is also a moot question in the domain of philosophy, subsequently, I will fly into the divine world. As there is nothing like finality in philosophy, said Iqbal. Let’s commence to dive into the depth of discussion, is beauty permanent? If the answer is no, it is time-dependent. Then ponder over the assertions that we find in our society as my beloved one is only the most beautiful in the world, no one else. I hope one question might be stirring in your mind, I used the words “beloved one” which is a testament that beauty is purely subjective. If this question is stirring in your mind, you are up to the mark in my intellectual world.

Let’s come to expound on all the aforementioned questions one by one. Beauty is the truth, no doubt, but to gain this beauty is a tiring effort; I am addressing here in the domain of a lover. It means beauty is that influence and has the power to catch one’s eye. Can beauty lead towards lust? The answer to this question is yes, that is why I said to possess the beauty of others is vail effort. That is fine, am I talking about Physical Beauty? Of course, yes. Then what is inner beauty, is it subjective? Inner beauty is, in my opinion, not subjective but more objective; for instance, talking politely, speaking the truth and expressing tolerance, are the universally accepted attributes in the positive domain. Physical beauty; however, is not only time-dependent but also linked with remoteness. How? For instance, having found our lover, we feel that beauty is not similar to it was at the earlier stage. Simply, because we used to see it in our matter of course which actually recedes it worth; that why it is said that remote things have more attraction. What I am trying to say is that unattained and unpossessed things have more beauty and curiosity, which creates a sense of volcano in your heart that is nothing but a hallucination and window dressing. Unfortunately, our decision and judgement, usually, rely on instant gratification, and in hasty tasks, physical beauty is more dominant than inner beauty. Again the question is, can inner beauty link with outer beauty?

A blend of outer and inner beauty is no less than gold, but the point of reflection is: can this amalgam retain for a long time? The answer is no, but inner beauty can only have a proclivity to cover the flaw of outer beauty for a long time; however, vice-versa does not. Let’s have a reflection on modern society, where especially girls are considered beautiful in white colour. Ok, it is fine, then the question is why did God create the world with a different colour? Your answer, I hope, will be because to create symmetry; in other words, beauty itself is the name of relativity; how can declare someone beautiful without relativity? Of course, No. In further simple words, we say this is a yellow colour and this is a blue colour because they have different comparisons and contrast. Instead, I will go one step more to depict the answer to this question: why did God create humans with a different colour? You see there are many people who are handicapped and paralyzed, on the other hand, many are physically fit; who has more preference? The answer is no one has more preference because the concept of hell and paradise apply in the corresponding domain, let’s decipher it through an instance: if a handicapped does not follow the path of gratitude and patience, ultimately he will not be able to enjoy the benediction of God; while the other person, follow this path, ultimately, he will enjoy this blessing. Thereby, all the person whom this temporal world declare are not beautiful or handicapped, they should have patience because this is a test and the wages of this test is paradise, an everlasting place flooded with mysterious blessings.

This is, I think, the time when I should fly in the air of divinity. What is meant by this assertion: God himself beautiful and he likes beauty? Is it the beauty of the inner soul or outer appearance? Before answering this question, ponder r this saying of the holy Prophet: Allah does not see your faces and money, but your hearts and deeds. I am sure you have, now, got the answer.

Let’s move back to the earthly place, can I say physical beauty is hogwash or it should refutable? The answer is ultimately not at all. Physical beauty, no doubt, is a reality and has more attraction, especially for the modern man who is devoid of the inner spirit. Worse condition is our western world, which is dominant over the world, just for the sake of their capital, they embedded this idea of “Pure White” in our minds by harnessing different tools, especially social media. But how? All the cosmetic companies are well-aware that the more dominant concept of this meretricious beauty will be, the more consumerism will promote. Broadly speaking, somehow this concept of “Pure White”, which is debossed at the time of choosing a life partner, is also one of the reasons behind the surging rate of divorce cases in our society. Since, I have already mentioned that only physical beauty is a spell and hallucination, which starts to fade after a particular time, especially for males. Then they think they have been deceived and try to find a new one who will be more beautiful even forever. What derogatory thinking! I think that’s why it is said that true and loyal people are very rare in this world. May my thoughts penetrate into your soul. ( Ameen)
